Elena Diniz is a Brazilian screenwriter and artist currently based in Paris. In 2011, she earned her Bachelor's degree in Film from Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro, followed by a screenwriting program at Cuban film school Escuela Internacional de Cine y Televisión. She later completed her Master’s in Film at Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne. Inspired by surrealism and magical realism, her work moves between documentary and fiction, film and canvas. She explores how the collective affects the personal, how people experience their social and historical realities.
