Elena Diniz is a Brazilian screenwriter and artist currently based in Paris. In 2011, she earned her Bachelor's degree in Film from PUC-Rio, followed by a screenwriting program at Cuban film school EICTV, and later completed her Master’s in Film at Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne. Her interest in the narrative potential of art extends beyond writing for the screen. Inspired by surrealism and magical realism, her work moves between documentary and fiction, film and canvas, exploring how the collective affects the personal, how people experience their social and historical realities.
