Elena Diniz is a Brazilian screenwriter and artist currently based in Paris. In 2011, she earned her Bachelor's degree in Film from PUC-Rio, followed by a specialization in Screenwriting at Cuban film school EICTV, and later completed her Master’s in Film at Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne. Her interest in the narrative potential of art extends beyond writing for the screen. She’s also a photographer and painter. Her photographs play with shapes and movement. Her figurative work explores human emotion through minimal lines and washes of colors, as in her signature "sad faces" series. Inspired by surrealism and magical realism, she merges different mediums to revisit the world in dreamlike forms.
